What may be investigated

A broad assessment guided by the question in each case.

Use the filters to explore cognitive functions, age groups and profiles that may lead to an assessment. No single item determines a diagnosis.

01

Memory

Learning, retention and retrieval of verbal and visual information, considering routine, age and context.

02

Attention

Sustained, selective, alternating and divided attention, as well as the impact of distractions and processing speed.

03

Executive functions

Planning, cognitive flexibility, inhibition, monitoring and organization to reach goals.

04

Language

Comprehension, expression, word retrieval and the use of language in cognitive tasks and daily situations.

05

Learning

Reading, writing, mathematics and other components involved in academic performance.

06

Children

From age 6, with family participation and, when appropriate and authorized, information from school.

07

Adults

Late diagnosis, cognitive functioning, professional performance and everyday difficulties.

08

Older adults

Changes in memory and other functions, distinguishing expected aging from changes that require attention.

09

Autism

Integrated analysis of development, social communication, behavioral patterns, cognition and subjective experience.

10

ADHD

Attention, impulsivity, executive functioning and impairment across settings and stages of life.

11

Giftedness

Mapping strengths and support needs, including when autism, ADHD or learning difficulties coexist.

A structured clinical process

An assessment is not the same test battery for every person.

The clinical question guides instrument selection. The process may include interviews, psychological tests approved for professional use in Brazil, observation, and information from family, school or other professionals when relevant and authorized.
